The Center for Community Studies opened in July 1993 with funding from a local foundation. The initial idea for the Center developed out of a brainstorming session held at the former Georgia Academy in 1992.   In our second decade of operation, the Center continues to provide high quality services to all of our clients. A variety of services are offered through the Center to community-based organizations, businesses, and human service providers.
